Do not eclipse God

Thanksgiving has not gone yet but all over, stores and the media are advertising Christmas. You'll see lots of Christmas trees, decorations, gifts, knick knacks, clothes and all sorts of paraphernalia. Some people have already begun or even finished their Christmas shopping but if you are like me, then you have not even started.

Wait a minute! Screech your brakes! Halt! Freeze! Stop! Take a look around you as if things are suspended in time and you are  in slow motion observing. What do you see? Where are the priorities? Are they focusing on God? Yes, I know it is a time of giving you would say, but what are we giving? The prettiest? The most expensive? The wanna give better than you? What messages are we sending out? How much are we giving what Christ represents? If Christmas is a time of giving, then we should be spreading the gospel even more this season. What better gift would someone get than the gift of salvation through our soul winning? We cannot save them but Jesus can. There is someone out there longing to know Him but does not know how. Why don't you be that person to make that difference and lead him/her to the Lord?

Let us not forget the real reason of the season and not eclipse God.

Matthew 6:33   "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you."

Revelations 3:17  " Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.."

Romans 6:23  " For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
